IT is an integral part of teaching and learning at Lower School.

Children attend weekly IT classes in our computer laboratories. These classes are designed to also integrate the work they are doing in other subjects while developing their IT skills. Children use carefully selected educational software at the appropriate age levels to complement their learning in all areas of the curriculum.

There are many Smart boards (interactive whiteboards) in use in the Lower School; one in each classroom and one in the Maths Academic Support room and the English Academic Support room (2017). Research has shown that interactive whiteboard use increases pupil motivation and facilitates pupil participation in the teaching and learning process by providing additional opportunities for discussion and interaction. Tablets are also now in use throughout the Lower School classrooms to give added support to enquiry based learning.

A variety of IT activities are also offered as part of the Activities Programme, most recently Robotics.
